loving is better than polite. Craziness is a craving for love. I know.

If your happy leaving the truth why continue.............
by angel eyes injust want to know why some of you,not all, please dont think im meaning all of you because that truly isnt the case, claim to be happy for leaving the truth, being df etc yet you continue to speak about jehovah or attack him or the organisation??
even for many years after.. this would show that your hurt by them df you.
when someone we love hurts us its natural to want to hurt them back because we have feelings for them.so im thinking that many have love for jehovah still??

flipper: In answer to my other question about what the WT society instructed you and other witnesses about not doing ANY research outside of WT publications - I look forward to your reply when you have more time.
Spike Tassel: Is this a case of "Do as we say but NOT as we do?" THAT makes NO sense, for we must use OUR power of REASON, which we each get from our own THOUGHT processes.

to Lady Lee: each person automatically comes with their own personality and perspective and experiences.
The "2-witness rule" is ACUTALLY a PRINCIPLE. But people sometimes get RULES and PRINCIPLES mixed up. We each use words in various ways, depending on the company we each keep. No two people keep the same company exactly, nor uses words exactly the same way.
Whole-souled obedience is what we are each to give Jehovah, WITH OUR POWER OF REASON (Romans 12:1-2). Any Org cannot PROHIBIT what Jehovah REQUIRES (Acts 5:29).
On the other hand, Gamaliel's counsel at Acts 5:38-39 is good: "Do not MEDDLE with these men"; "if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them"; YOU may perhaps be found fighters actually against God".
Each of these 3 aspects can soundly be applied from various perspectives: that of outsiders looking at the various sides of the debate, and from each of the sides of the debate. All surely have VALID points and those in ERROR, since all are imperfect humans (i.e. NONE has the FULL perspective).

Womenly subjection
by vikesgirl101 indoes anybody remember which scripture it is in the greek scriptures (i want to say it was of paul's writings) that the jw's used as a reason that women had no privileges that a man could have in the congregation?
i remember doing research on it for a return visit.
basically the jist of it is that because of eve's sin, all women are inferior.

Witness 007 (Post 4426, Page 1) 2 Timothy 3: 11 "Give not thy purse to women who gaggle about buying cloth, seen they should be but not heard, always in a head covering but nothing else...."
I DON'T know where you came up with THIS from, but it's NOT 2 Timothy 3:11. Just for the record.

Ending the Disfellowshipping Arrangement?
by sammielee24 ini was reading this on the forum for bible students where there seems to be some elder training that will focus on conscience issues and disassociaiton instead of disfellowshipping.
this makes sense from a legal standpoint because there would be no jc but interesting enough, how would someone become disassociated and then shunned?
if shunned would this then place the legality of it all back onto the family members instead of the elders?

Is Shunning an Act of Revenge?
by cameo-d in.
does wt demand an act of wickedness to prove loyalty to the institution?.
is shunning a wicked act of revenge?.

No. It's not Revenge. It's an Act of Loyalty, based on Trust in the Elders.

IF it is NOT wise for a man to be ALONE with a woman he's NOT married to
by Spike Tassel insola scriptura answered andersonsinfo:.
the wt leadership has hammered into all of it's elders and rank & file's heads, that it is not wise for a man to be alone with a woman he is not married too (adult or young woman... ie 14).
even in congregation sanctioned duties.. so, why, then, do so many service pairings involve just that: a brother alone in the territory (even if it's to make a call) with a sister he's not married to?.

"I'm sorry, but..."
by Farkel inafter noticing reniaa use that expression to give a "reason" why she was hijacking a thread, i thought about about people who use "i'm sorry, but...".. "but" what, reniaa, et.
it dawned on me (yeah.
i'm a little slow at times) that this is much more than just a lame excuse.

A logical response to "Can I ask a question?" is "You just PROVED that you CAN."
Another one is »I think you mean "May I ask a question?"«
Or, in keeping with this Topic, a third logical response is "I'm sorry, but I only allow strangers ONE question. So I MUST be moving along."

A person will HAVE a sorry butt sooner or later if they DON'T repent of that "I'm sorry, but..." syndrome
